Pastor Victor Polero and Family

Pastor Victor and Shannon Polero consider it an honor and privilege to serve as the Student Pastors of IWC, a role they have served in since February of 2010. They have been involved in ministry since their marriage began. They have three children Tanner, Logan, and Olivia. Victor is a native of Savannah, born and raised on the west side; he graduated from Groves High and is currently finishing his degree from Lee University. Shannon is from Durham, North Carolina. She graduated from AASU and is a dental hygienist on Wilmington Island. They currently reside in Effingham County.

Our childrens ministry is categorized into two areas. The Roots Primary (0-5) and The Roots Elementary (6-12) whose mission is to provide a spiritually engaging program from 0-12 years of age. You can rest assured that whether your child is in our nursery or in childrens church, they will be shown love and more importantly they will be hearing the word of God. We believe that children can begin to minister at any age and want to equip them with the tools needed to do so. 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity”. Children are not our future leaders, they are leaders now and it is our responsibility to teach them how to operate in this capacity.
